Sabeen Ahmed, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician providing affiliated internal medicine and primary care services at Cardio Metabolic Institute. With a passion for both acute and preventative medicine, her philosophy is simple: great care comes from great relationships between patients and their physicians. Dr. Ahmed’s goal is to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care to the communities of Edison, Monroe Township and Somerset, New Jersey.
Dr. Ahmed joins Cardio Metabolic Institute after spending years in academic medicine and acute care/hospital medicine. She completed medical school at King Edward Medical College in Pakistan before moving to the United States, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency at Hackensack Meridian Health - Mountainside Medical Center. She served as Chief Resident in her final year.
During her residency, she experienced great satisfaction in establishing long-term relationships with patients. In primary care, it is the small details that matter. Her emphasis has always been to treat the patient as a whole. Her experience as a Teaching attending and in acute care hospitals provides the ideal knowledge base to be your physician.
In her free time, Dr. Ahmed enjoys trying new cuisines, exploring her hometown of Edison, and spending time with her two children.
