Keval V. Patel, MD, is an experienced cardiologist who offers a variety of cardiovascular treatment and prevention services at the Cardio Metabolic Institute in Somerset, Monroe Township, and East Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Patel is board-certified in internal medicine and echocardiography and board-eligible for general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and peripheral vascular ultrasound.
He affiliates with Saint Peter’s University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, both in New Brunswick, New Jersey, as well as Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
After earning his medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in the Caribbean, Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine residency training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey, where he excelled as chief resident. He later completed his fellowship training in cardiology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Dr. Patel takes a special interest in high-quality cardiovascular care, focusing on congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. He’s passionate about cardiovascular disease prevention, cardiovascular imaging, and cardio-oncology. Dr. Patel is actively involved in research studies involving the transition of care after heart failure exacerbations and myocardial infarctions.
